Simon Cowell has reportedly told how angry X Factor auditionees want to kill him - and he's had to back up his security to make sure he stay's safe! Speaking to the Daily Star (apparently), Cowell however calmly said he has become "used to" receiving death threats.
“People want to kill me," Simon is quoted as saying. “It’s serious and we have a lot of security now for that reason. My bosses told me they have been shown e-mails threatening my life. They said one man wanted to stab me. It sent a chill down me. But I’m used to it.”
Meanwhile fellow X Factor USA judge Paula Abdul shared Cowell's fears, saying: “Do you think I want to get shot?”
“Sometimes when we don’t even think they may be harmful, the security men are edging towards getting the kids out of the door.”
A source meanwhile added: “The audition period of the show is always seen as being the most dangerous time for Simon and the judges because some people take rejection very badly indeed.”
While Cowell will be out of the firing line here in the UK this year two new judges will step up to join The X Factor 2011 judging panel alongside Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue. The new look panel is expected to be announced in the next few days.
