The Sun seem to be pretty confident that Take That's Gary Barlow will be taking over from Simon Cowell on The X Factor here in the UK this year - saying the singer is a "definite" for the panel. With a voice soft enough to send anyone to sleep, we're not too sure how the move will go down...
According to the newspaper, Gary was "hired" (in what sounds like The Apprentice fashion) to sit on the panel this year alongside Louis Walsh.
A source told the tabloid: "Louis has been told he's back - and Gary is now a definite. Gary knows the business inside and out. If anyone could replace Simon, it's him."
The duo are reportedly the first two judges to sign up to the show, leaving two free spots. While Dannii Minogue has been invited to return to the show, the Aussie popstar has yet to sign a deal. We reported last month that Dannii was thinking about now renewing her contract for the show.
With Britain's Got Talent suffering with a new line up judges, could The X Factor's best days now be in the past?
