Britain’s Got Talent judge Michael McIntyre acts as a translator for one French hopeful in tonight's show... with hilarious consequences! Despite having his own translator on hand, 21-year-old dancer Michael opts to try and chat directly with the panel...
”My name is Michael, I am 21 years old. I would like to dance for the Queen of Britain," says the auditionee.
Waiting backstage, Michael and his translator Claire meet Ant and Dec as he waits nervously before going on in front of the judges.
Michael explains: “In France, I watch Britain’s Got Talent on YouTube. I really hope the judges give me the chance to show Britain what I can do.”
Michael and his translator walk on to the stage, hoping his performance will lead to secure that spot at the Royal Variety Performance. Michael introduces himself while Claire adds: “Hi, I’m Claire; I’m just the translator, no performance from me!”
A confused Michael McIntyre asks “So you’re not in the act?” before turning to Michael and asking: “Where are you from?”
Michael McIntyre then cheekily tells Claire: “Okay we don’t need you, it’s going fine! I can handle this!" The comedian then recalls his school grade French to figure out how old Michael is, however when it comes to the more difficult questions it all becomes unstuck!
With the audience laughing Michael McIntyre reverts back to English asking “What are you going to do for us today?”
Michael: “I am dancer.”
Michael McIntyre: “Very, very best of luck Michael, the stage is yours! Bon chance!”
