Music mogul Simon Cowell this week confessed that he still plays the lottery, despite having made a personal fortune of more than £200 million thanks to telly shows and music deals. And what's more the ridiculously rich TV guru even hinted he had won big prizes in the game!
Cowell said this week: "I play the Lottery and I always tick the no publicity box."
Meanwhile a source told The Sun: "He loves a flutter."
Simon's confession comes as the latest Sunday Time's rich list shows his personal wealth has increased from £165 million last year, thanks a lot to his new deals with The X Factor USA.
Fortunately for us mere mortals however, the Simon is set on at least giving some of his money away as part of his new £15 million game show Red or Black, to air on ITV1 after The X Factor this September. The series, said to be one of the most expensive shows ever made, will set out to give away £1 million every night for 7 days.
Simon said: "Every night someone will be standing in front of an enormous wheel and will have to make that decision - gamble for a million.
"We see a lot of rubbish shows on TV at the moment so we're going to do something that has never been seen before and that will give regular punters the chance to win a million."
