12-year-old Britain's Got Talent 2011 favourite Ronan Parke has said he dosn't want to be compared to teen sensation Justin Bieber. The youngster, who impressed the judges on Saturday's audition show, said he wanted to be known for his own talents.
The shcoolboy has quickly become the favourite to win Britain's Got Talent this year after his rendition of Feeling Good at the weekend proved a big hit with viewers. His audition on YouTube has alreasdy seen 500,000 views in just a few days.
Despite many comparisons between Ronan and Candian popstar Justin Bieber, Ronan insisted: "I take that as a very big compliment because Justin Bieber is one of the biggest pop stars in the world. But I don't want people to think, 'That's the new Justin Bieber', I want them to think, 'That's Ronan Parke'."
Meanwhile Ronan's parents told The Sunthat the reaction to his audition has been shocking.
MumMaggie told the newspaper: "It's just been overwhelming. I didn't expect all this - it's been a real shock."
And dad Trevor added to the tabloid: "We were blown away by the reaction he got on the stage. We virtually floated back from London to Norwich."
Even Ronan's 15-year-old brother was proud, saying: "I'm very proud of Ronan. We've known he's a good singer for a while and it's good that other people can now see how good he is."
