Young Britain's Got Talent singer Ronan Parke has revealed his idols include Beyonce and Lady GaGa, saying that the pair gave him the confidence to audition for the show. The talented vocalist stunned the judges on Saturday night with his voice, despite being a bag of nerves before his try-out.
"I've seen Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, they're my two favourite singers," he told The Sun today. "They inspire me to sing. They're amazing with so much talent. I look at them performing and think that that's what I want to do for the rest of my life.
"I'd thought about doing it before, but I never had the confidence in myself, so I was really proud of myself that this year I did."
And despite plenty of comparisons with teen sensation Jusitn Beiber, Ronan insisted: "I want to see my own name in lights."
The school boy was clearly nervous during his audition on Saturday night and admitted to the tabloid today: "I was shaking while I was watching it on the television.
"My mum and dad played it back about 20 times! I definitely want to be a performer, that's all I've ever wanted to do. I've been having singing lessons for the last two years."
And finally, who is Ronan's favourite BGT judge? "My favourite judge has always been Amanda Holden. I also like Michael McIntyre - he's very funny."
Britain's Got Talent 2011 continues this Saturday at 8PM.
