Britain's Got Talent 2011 dancer Razy Gogonea is said to be "desperate" to win the show - in order to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend. According to The Sun, the 28-year-old - currently unemployed - hopes the £100,000 prize will go some way to impressing his other half!
"I’m originally from Romania and I’m over in Manchester two years ago because of my girlfriend,” Razy said in Saturday's show. “I’m doing this for us, for my girlfriend. “You’ll see me performing today to make her so proud of me."
Razy received a standing ovation from the audience and judges after his audition, which saw him perform a brilliant routine to the Matrix soundtrack Despite his clearly talented skills however, Razy has yet to be able to afford an engagement ring for girlfriend Truth, who he proposed to six months ago now!
"It's upsetting not to be able to afford one," he told The Sun today.
"If I won BGT the first thing I'd do is buy one. I've got my eye on a couple already. She deserves the best and I'll do my best for her. We're hoping to get married this year."
Ruth added: "Razy has always said the first thing he'll do when he gets some money is get me a ring. I've seen a few I like, but they are quite expensive. We really want to get married but it all depends on the money.
"I knew that he was fantastic because of the emotional connection between us and I had hoped everyone else would too. He is an emotional person. He has worked for 16 years for this and it means so much to him. It'd be a dream come true if he won the show. He deserves it."
