Michael Collings wowed the judges on last night's Britain's Got Talent 2011 show, and it seems he's already planning big things. The 19-year-old told the Daily Star today he hopes to become as big as Susan Boyle has done, adding he'll do "whatever it takes" to release an album.
The young singer has already been compared to the Scottish star by both the judges and press. Amanda said recently: "It’s a difficult thing, it’s like the Susan Boyle thing, somebody walks on stage and you completely judge them as you see them and it’s always a surprise and it’s always a bad thing for us to do but it’s human nature.”
Michael told the Daily Star: “If I get through to the live shows I will definitely smarten up. I’ll do whatever it takes to release an album.
“I’m not expecting to win but if I could release a single I would be over the moon. I’d love to be as big as Susan Boyle. That would be amazing. She is huge. The judges assumed I was going to be rubbish because of the way I looked.
“But I just wore my tracksuit because it’s comfortable. I wasn’t offended by the judges’ comments. I kind of understand why they thought I wasn’t going to be great but it was good to prove them wrong.”
