Former Spice Girl Mel B has become the latest name linked to a judging role on The X Factor UK after she let slip she'd be moving to the UK for some time later this year. The singer, who was originally tipped to replace Sharon Osbourne on the show in 2008, said she was "in so much trouble" for letting the cat out of the bag!
Mel B was in the running to join The X Factor in 2008 when Sharon Osboune quit the panel following a year of feuding with fellow judge Dannii Minogue. Due to Mel's other commitments at the time however the place was eventually given to Cheryl Cole, who in an ironic twist will be the panellist Mel could replace this year.
During a radio interview, the ex-Spice Girl said: "I might be coming over for quite some time at some point next year.”
However she quickly backtracked, saying: “I don’t think I was meant to say that. I’m in so much trouble.”
Despite the comments however Mel B is currently pregnant, and with her baby due in the middle of the auditions and start of the live shows we wonder if she'd be able to take on the show's commitments this year...
