Oasis star Noel Gallagher reportedly turned down a £1 million deal to take part in The X Factor 2011, according to The Sun. The guitarist was apparently told to "name his price" by show boss music mogul Simon Cowell, who is desperate for a big name on the panel this year.
The newspaper claims however though that Noel wasn't interested in money, instead wanting to spend his time helping his brother Liam Gallagher's band Beady Eye. Show sources suggest that Cowell was very keen for the song writer to join The X Factor, offering a "head spinning" amount of cash.
An insider blabbed to the tabloid: "Simon promised global fame and a crack at the US panel in future years. He was setting it up for him to make the show his own and fill his boots."
It is currently understood that there's still been no firm decision made on this year's judging panel, although both Louis and Dannii are expected to return.
