The hosts of Britain's Got Talent 2011 Ant & Dec have said that the new online YouTube audition have uncovered some hidden jewels of talent from the British public. The Geordie presenting pair made the comments writing on their blog ahead of the return of the show on April 16.
Britain's Got Talent 2011 starts on ITV1 next Saturday from 20:20 with a 90-minute special opener as a new look panel takes over Britain's biggest talent search. This year's auditions have gone on longer than ever before, with judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff still recording in Birmingham on Sunday.
"These were the 'YouTube auditions', every performer had uploaded their video to YouTube and the best 20 were invited to audition in front of the judges and a packed theatre," Ant and Dec explained about the latest round of try outs.
"It went very well and it seems we've uncovered another couple of jewels that ordinarily wouldn't have been seen. The difficult bit comes next week when the judges get together and deliberate over who should make it into the live semi-finals, that day is always a real nail biter!"
The top YouTube auditionees to Britain's Got Talent 2011 will be revealed on April 11.
