Channel 4 have unveiled Radio 1 and The F Factor presenter Matt Edmonson to be the latest addition to their team of presenters, taking the helm of the Channel 4 youth strand from April 23rd.
Edmondson is no stranger to T4, having presented a series of programs including Pocket TV, and coverage of RockCorps, The Topman CNTRL Student Corps and a string of music festivals for the channel.
The 25 year old presenter and DJ also appears alongside T4 presenter Jameela Jamil, fronting morning program Freshly Squeezed, and is noted for his irreverant presenting style.
Upon the news being announced, Edmondson joked he initially thought he would be presenting alongside popular Channel 4 property duo Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsop, before revealling T4 is "almost as good."
He continued "Given the recent departure of Steve Jones, I can understand why they have chosen an equally attractive replacement. I look forward to bothering popstars and introducing Hollyoaks on your TV soon."
Edmondson was also recently given a weekly Radio 1 DJ slot, replacing Huw Stevens between 9 and 10 pm.
Edmondson will join the current presenting team of Rick Edwards, Jameela Jamil, Georgie Okell and fellow Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw.
