British popstar Lily Allen today took to Twitter to squash reports that suggested she was close to signing an agreement to take part in The X Factor this year. The Sun claimed earlier today that the singer was "80% confirmed" to be taking part in the 2011 series.
Writing on social networking website Twitter about the reports however, Allen said: "Nice to know that I'm 80% confirmed to be a judge on X Factor anyone thinking about running it by me? maybe that's the 20% bit. [sic]"
The controversial songstress joked: "I'll only do it if there's a 'pop songs in a foreign language week'"
Last month it was reported that Lily Allen had been offered £550,000 to join the show for the new series.
