The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary has revealed he reckons chart singer Lily Allen could easily replace Simon Cowell on The X Factor panel this year. The telly presenter, who returns to front the show for a fourth series this summer, said that the programme doesn't need a "nasty" judge.
"I don't think we need a nasty judge," Dermot told The Sun today. "I think we need an alpha, but an alpha could be anyone. I'd love Lily Allen to be sat in Simon's chair.
"As a judge, anyone from Take That I'd be over the moon with. But I still hope Cheryl and Simon will be back."
Dermot - who is currently filming the pre-audition process across the country - insisted that no one other than himself has been confirmed to be on the new series. "I've no idea who I'm working with - which is weird, because we're starting quite soon," he explained.
Dermot quipped: "I'll just have to do it myself!"
The X Factor 2011 auditions continue this next month in Cardiff.
