Dancing On Ice star Laura Hamilton, who finished runner up on the show on Sunday night, has been ruled out of hosting the Xtra Factor according to reports. The gorgeous kids telly host is said to be out of the running because bosses don't want to make the same mistake as they did with Konnie Huq!
A source told The Sun: "Konnie was a children's TV host too, and bosses won't be making that mistake again."
The presenter recently quit her job at children's television channel Nickelodeon to focus on other work projects following on from her stint on the ITV1 skating competition. Laura previously described the role - which she was keen to take on - as her "dream job".
Laura told us at TellyMix earlier this month: "It’s a great show and obviously having been part of a reality show it would be great to present something like that as you can empathise with everyone who is auditioning and how everyone is feeling as I’ve been there and experienced that.”
Other names in the spotlight for the role, now it's been confirmed Konnie won't be returning, include fellow Dancing On Ice star Jeff Brazier and Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson.
