ITV bosses are said to be considering introducing guest judges to The X Factor UK this year, in a bid to keep the show fresh as the US version launches stateside. While guest stars appeared on the panel last year in replace of a pregnant Dannii Minogue, this time around they will sit alongside the normal four panel members.
One of the names lined up for a guest slot is singer George Michael, who has previously performed on the show and duetted with eventual winner Joe McElderry. According to The Sun, bosses have offered the Wham! star £75,000 for his time at one of this year's audition dates. A source said: "If Simon and Cheryl decide not to take part it will give people something to talk about."
Louis Walsh last night revealed that the UK panel would be confirmed in two weeks time.
