This time last year most people would probably be asking "Laura who?" but thanks to regularly topping the Dancing On Ice leader board over the past month, it seems Laura Hamilton is now tipped for big success. The former kids telly presenter is said to have quit her job at Nickeloden in order to host the Xtra Factor.
A dodgy source revealed to The Mirror today: "Simon Cowell is very interested in having a look at Laura. It’s no surprise she has quit her job because her profile has now soared.”
The mystery man cheekily added about the big-busted skater: "She has all the attributes to be a big star."
A spokesperson for Nickeloden confirmed to the paper: "Laura has decided to resign to pursue other opportunities. She has made a fantastic contribution to our success and we wish her well."
Others rumoured to be in line to host the new series of the ITV2 spin-off include Laura's fellow Dancing on Ice contestant Jeff Brazier, who was eliminated from the show last night, and Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson.
