Geordie babe Cheryl Cole is said to be under the belief she has become 'too big' for the UK version of The X Factor, following speculation about her joining the US panel. According to heat magazine however, the Promise This singer had a "real comedown" when it was revealed her place on the US panel is yet to be confirmed.
An insider told the glossy weekly: "After the US stuff, she seems to think she's too big for the UK X Factor."
However it seems 'our Cheryl' may have got a little ahead of herself, with sources saying the Girls Aloud singer felt she had the X Factor USA job in the bag. Recent rumours now suggest Cole won't be on the US show at all, with Simon Cowell having a tough time convincing execs at Fox to sign her up. "She'd told mates she thought she'd got the US X Factor gig," a sneaky insider said. "It's a real comedown. If Simon can't get her the gig, no-one can."
Even Chezza's mum Joan doesn't seem too happy with her daughter’s recent actions, reportedly telling pals she "doesn't think it it's a good career move."
Meanwhile we can reveal that Louis Walsh will definitely be returning to The X Factor this year having signed a new contract over the weekend. A source told us: "Louis is the first of the judges to sign up for the show and Dannii's contract should follow very soon."
