UK super groups Take That, The Wanted and JLS will be amongst the performers on this year's Comic Relief night, it has been confirmed. They will be joined by the likes of current chart sensation Adele as well as music legends Annie Lennox and Elbow on Friday March 18 on BBC One.
The Wanted will perform the official Comic Relief single 'Gold Heart' while JLS will sing their latest top 10 hit Eyes Wide Shut from their latest album. Adele will make another emotional performance of her chart topping track Someone Like You and Annie Lennox will perform Universal Child.
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes said: "Red Nose Day is such a fantastic day and it's amazing to be a part of it. We're really proud of this single - although in hindsight I suppose we should have recorded 'Red Forever' instead of 'Gold'!"
Meanwhile Marvin Humes of JLS added: "Me and all the boys always want to get involved with Red Nose Day and Comic Relief. It's a fantastic cause and it's great to be a part of it. It's always an amazing night and raises so much money."
Take That, who kick off their stadium tour later this year, commented: "It's great being part of Red Nose Day and we're all really looking forward to performing on the night. It's such a fantastic event that helps so many people and it's always an honour for us to be involved."
