The winner of ITV weight loss reality show The Biggest Loser today said he hopes his new slimmer figure will lead to love. Wil Graham, who won £25,000 on last night's final of the latest series, said he now had hope of finding a partner after shedding more than eight stone in just two months.
Wil won the Davina McCall fronted telly show last night by becoming the contestant to lose the most weight over the programme, going from 24st 7lb at the first weigh-in back in January to 16st last night.
"I’ll be 30 this month and I’m really looking forward to it," he said after his win, "I feel like I’ve lost my 20s, I let my weight hold me back.
Wil explained to The Mirror: "I didn’t have a girlfriend in my 20s. If someone showed any interest I’d think they were taking the Mick or doing it for a bet. If I didn’t like myself, how could anyone else? I’ve been on a few dates. I haven’t found the right person yet, but I’ve got hope now.”
Looking back on his time on the show, the 29-year-old revealed he felt he had used food to get over the death of his nan. He said: “I think I was depressed. Food was my comfort, my drug if you like, and I couldn’t get enough of it.”
