Model superstar Naomi Campbell is reportedly being lined up to be one of the new faces on The X Factor 2011 judging panel, according to the Mail on Sunday. The newspaper claims that X Factor bosses are hoping on getting the global star on the show to make up for the departure of Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole.
Both Cowell and Cole are set to quit the show this year in an attempt to break the format into the states with the first ever series of The X Factor USA, due to air in the autumn. The Mail suggests Cowell is keen to convince the 40-year-old to join the panel alongside Dannii, Louis and another, male, megastar.
An insider said: “Naomi is seen as being of the calibre of celebrity needed to inject new glamour and maintain peak ratings.”
They added: "X Factor’ chiefs are also looking for a male star with a global reach on the same scale as Naomi to help shore up the panel, amid fears the departure of Simon and Cheryl will send ratings into freefall."
Supermodel Naomi has previously spoken about her love of the show - and boss Simon Cowell! "Simon is an institution. I love him," she said. "I watch The X Factor every week and it drives my boyfriend insane. I’m torn about who I want to win.”
