Former Live From Studio Five presenter Kate Walsh has been revealed as the host for new Channel Five magazine show OK! TV. The announcement comes following the shock exit earlier today of Denise Van Outen, who pulled out of the show just days before the first episode was due to air on Monday.

The move will certainly cause some embarrassment for Five however, with Kate Walsh being one of the presenters of the show OK! TV was meant to replace. In a statement released this afternoon, the broadcaster said: "We are delighted to announce that Kate Walsh will be stepping up to present OK! TV with Matt Johnson.

"We all know how fantastic and experienced Kate is following her time on Live From Studio Five and are delighted to have her on board to co-present this fantastic new show."

Meanwhile Kate Walsh said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to present OK! TV - I'm thoroughly looking forward to working with Matt Johnson too.

"I love the world of celebrity and to be fronting OK! TV is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started."

The first episode of OK! TV will start at 6:30PM on Channel Five on Monday.
