Voting today opened for The 2011 National Television Awards as this year's shortlist was announced. The annual telly awards ceremony, taking place at the O2 Arena on January 26th, will be hosted by Dermot O'Leary as TV stars walk the red carpet in the hope of winning their category.

Among the 12 awards voted for the public is 'Best Talent Show', which will see ITV1's The X Factor, Dancing On Ice and Britain's Got Talent go head to head with each other, as well as BBC One's 'Dancing On Ice'.

There's bad news for Daybreak who miss out on a nomination in the 'Topical Magazine Show' category, with the BBC's Breakfast battling it out against This Morning and Loose Women for the award.

In other reality TV news, I'm A Celebrity has been nominated for 'Best Entertainment Show' alongside Big Brother, as well as BBC panel shows QI and Mock The Week.

Even the host of the awards ceremony is up for a gong himself, with Dermot O'Leary being nominated for 'Best Entertainment Presenter' against Davina McCall, Ant and Dec and Paul O'Grady.

The results of the awards are all down to the public vote, so head over to the NTA website to get your opinions heard!

Voting closes midday on January 26th, with the results being announced live from the O2 that evening, broadcast on ITV1.
