Michael Ball has been asked to return to ITV for a second series of his teatime chat show, according to reports. The commercial broadcaster was said to be impressed with viewer's response to the programme and have re-commissioned the format for a second four week one later this year.
A show source told The Sun: "Michael was a gamble as he is fairly new to the chatshow thing. But he's quite a down-to-earth guy and people like that."
According to the paper it is expected Ball's show will become a permanent fixture on the channel's afternoon and evening schedules, alternating with the Alan Titchmarsh Show.
About two million tuned in to the last series of the show which see guests including Terry Wogan and popgroup The Saturdays.
