A much-loved TV name is heading back to the Highlands, and this new version is bringing a fresh family fight with it.
5 has revealed the cast for its new Monarch of the Glen series, with the show set to return for a new age.
Julia Brown leads as Isla Campbell, a London lawyer who comes home to Scotland for her father’s funeral and expects to leave within days.
That plan falls apart when Isla learns the estate has a huge debt, while her brother Alasdair, played by Chris Fulton, is set on saving their old home.
Us Monarch of the Glen fans will also see Ewan Miller as Ewan, Rishi Nair as Daniel, Phyllis Logan as Morag, John Gordon Sinclair as Fergus and Gordon Kennedy as Angus.
The new story takes us back to the Scottish Highlands, with the family home at risk and old wounds coming back fast.

Phyllis Logan added: “Monarch of the Glen holds such a special place in people’s hearts, so it’s a real privilege to be part of its return.”
The series is filming now in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with 5 and MASTERPIECE PBS set to air it in 2027.
