Love Island 2019: Michael Griffiths reveals his feelings to Amber Gill

Love Island 2019 spoilers

Michael Griffiths confesses his feelings to Amber Gill in tonight’s Love Island 2019.

After Joanna was dumped from the Island, Michael was left single and contemplating his future in the villa.

Regardless, he has been adamant that he no longer has feelings for Amber. However, last night it looked as if he could be having a change of heart.

In tonight’s episode, Michael thinks it is time to share his feelings with Amber herself.

On the sun deck, Michael says to Amber: “The situation that I am in now has given me time to clarify a few things in my head. It’s given me time to think and realise ‘I do like Amber’. I can only apologise about how I was over the last few weeks. I’m just letting you know that I do still like you.”

Amber is shocked by Michael’s admission.

She says: “I don’t get it. If you liked me the whole time, why would you do that?”

Amber then asks: “Would you still have done this if she [Joanna] was still here?”

Michael insists: “Yes. I would have to have this conversation. I knew that I still liked you. I just kept denying it to myself.”

Amber reflects in the Beach Hut on her conversation with Michael.

She says: “I actually cannot believe what is happening! I cannot believe Michael of all people, pushed his pride to the side and said how he really felt.”

After taking a shine to new boy Greg and having Michael declare his feelings, Amber is left torn between the two boys.

In last nights episode, Michael spoke to the boys about the situation.

Ovie offered Michael some advice. Ovie said: “Don’t let your pride hurt you. Don’t fight yourself.”

Michael also spoke with Belle about Joanna. Belle told Michael: “I don’t know if she’ll wait for you. I don’t know if she’ll be interested now, because you didn’t leave with her.”

Michael commented: “Now that Joanna has gone, it has given me time to think about things… and I realise I do like Amber.

“I’m not saying I don’t like Joanna, because I do. But I feel like because Joanna was there I actively avoided Amber.”

Jordan replied: “I think if you did go back there, things would be so different.”

Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
