Love Island 2018: Alexandra Cane brands Alex George “pathetic” as pair SPLIT
Despite and epic date, Alex George and Alexandra Cane SPLIT on Love Island 2018 tonight.
In tonight’s show, Alex and Alexandra went out for a special date but while the afternoon left Alexandra on cloud nine, Alex pulled Jack to one side and admitted he was still having doubts.
The couple were both in high spirits when a text arrives teasing details of the day ahead: “Alexandra and Alex, it’s time for your final date. Please get ready to leave the villa. #speedygonzalex #fastlove”
They arrived on the date to be presented with a red Ferrari but when Alexandra and Alex returned to the villa, there were two very different stories to tell.
Alexandra gushed with the girls: “It was the most amazing date. I was like ‘this is really sexy.’ He actually was in his element. We’ve had such a nice day. You see glimpses of how it could be on the outside, and I think today’s been really refreshing for the both of us.”
But Alex sought out Jack for some much-needed advice, as he confessed to his continued apprehension about pursuing things further with Alexandra.
He explained: “We just don’t seem to…it doesn’t seem to feel right. I don’t have the right feelings that I should be. The thing is she wants to move at quite a quick pace. She wants lots of affection, and she wants things to move quite quickly. I just can’t match that. I feel like things just aren’t quite right with us.”
Later in the evening, Alex decided to cool things off with Alexandra.
But she didn’t take the news well, accusing the Dr of leading her on.
“I think you’ve led me along this path, you have not been honest,” she snapped.
Before storming off, Alexandra added: “I think you’re absolutely pathetic. You’ve wasted my time and your own, shame on you.”
Fans on Twitter were quick to support Alexandra.
2017 Love Islander Gabby Allen tweeted: “Alexandra, girl, my hat comes off to you. ??? don’t worry babe, there will be 100’s of honest men lining up who will appreciate you more than a bloody car #loveisland”
X Factor star Stacey Solomon posted: “Wait there … ALEXANDRA TO WIN – yessssss giirrrrllll – SHAME ON YOUUUUU ALEX #LoveIsland”
And recent Love Island contestant Georgia Steel wrote: “As much as I love Alex. My heart has broken for Alexandra. Bless her ??”
