Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger ‘to return to The X Factor’

Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger are set to join The X Factor again.


The pair have reportedly signed up to return for what would be a third time.

Louis was originally a judge from the first series up until 2014. He left in 2015 only to return the next year before leaving again for 2018’s series.

Nicole first joined the show for 2012 and 2013’s series and also took part in 2016 and 2017’s shows.

They’d sit alongside Simon Cowell on a three-person panel, according to an interview Louis has given to the Daily Mirror newspaper.

Louis said: “I go to Los Angeles on Tuesday, I go to Simon’s house in Malibu, it’s me Simon and Nicole and we’re doing the celebrity one.”

The new Celebrity X Factor series which was first announced in February by Simon.


The music mogul revealed plans to air both a Celebrity and All Star version of X Factor this year, one seeing celebrities compete and the other featuring a line up of past contestants.

Simon said at the time: “I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years.”

Although ITV has not confirmed any details about The X Factor 2019, rumoured celebrity contestants include reality sensation Gemma Collins, TV presenter Caroline Flack, TV personality Megan McKenna, actor John Barrowman as well as former Strictly pro Brendan Cole.

It’s also claimed that a group of Love Islanders have also apparently signed up.

Reports claim that former Islanders Zara McDermott, Eyal Booker, Wes Nelson and Samira Mighty are set to team up to sing in the competition.

Meanwhile former contestants who could return for the All Stars season include former winners Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis and Shayne Ward.

Wagner and Honey G have both put themselves forward to come back, with Honey G saying: “Give the people what they want and what the people want is Honey G.”

However others have ruled themselves out.


Rylan Clark-Neal, Saara Aaalto, Olly Murs and Rak-Su are among those who have said they won’t return.
