Gorka Marquez Steps Back from Strictly Come Dancing

We’ll be getting a lot less of Gorka Marquez on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Gorka has confirmed won’t be dancing with a celebrity on the upcoming series of the BBC One show.

Instead, he’ll be heading back to Spain this autumn to work as a judge on Bailando Con Las Estrellas.

Because of the schedule clash, he won’t be able to commit to a celeb pairing, but he will still appear in group numbers during the first seven weeks, and return again from Week 11 right through to the final.

BBC bosses were keen to keep him involved however they could, knowing how much his fans love having him on the show.
