Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas Special 2016 line up

Strictly Come Dancing 2016's Christmas Special is here and we've a first look at all the performances.

Once again, following the end of the main series, the Strictly judges will return for one last appearance this year on Christmas Day.

And it'll be Len Goodman's last EVER time as a judge on the show.

This year the theme for the show is Christmas movies as six former Strictly Come Dancing celebrities make a ballroom comeback.

For some it's been years since they danced on Strictly but for others, just months.

Those on the Strictly Christmas line up are Ainsley Harriott, Pamela Stephenson, Gethin Jones, Denise Lewis, Melvin Odoom and Frankie Bridge.

In the show on Xmas day, the celebs will couple with a pro just on the main show for one spectacular routine.

Each of the couples will pay tribute to one of the most memorable Christmas films of all time as they compete for the special Christmas trophy.

"The night promises to be a spectacular celebration of the movies that families love to watch at Christmas," say the BBC.

Routines will be based on classics like Home Alone, The Polar Express, Love Actually, Meet Me in St Louis, Elf and Frozen, which will be making its TV premiere on Christmas Day on BBC One.

Meanwhile, the Strictly judges embrace the Christmas spirit, getting into costume as their favourite Christmas movie characters as Len bows out of the show.

They'll mark the routines but it'll be the studio audience who pick a winner on the night.

As well as the main competition, there will be a special performance from Matt Goss who performs White Christmas plus two group performances from the entire Strictly cast.

The Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas Special 2016 airs Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25 at 6:45PM on BBC One.
