PICTURES! Tonight's first live Strictly Come Dancing 2014 performances

Here's a picture recap of tonight's opening Strictly Come Dancing 2014 live show.

Six couples performed live for the judges in this evening's first episode, as part of the weekend's double bill.

Pixie Lott and Trent Whiddon jived to ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift while Judy Murray and Anton Du Beke slowed things down with a Waltz to ‘Mull Of Kintyre’ by Wings.

Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev performed a Cha Cha for their first live dance to ‘Can You Feel It?’ by The Jacksons, as did Scott Mills and Joanne Clifton who danced to ‘Rock DJ’ by Robbie Williams.

Also dancing the Cha Cha this evening were Tim Wonnacott and Natalie Lowe, performing to 'Shop Around’ by Captain & Tennille.

Finally, Jake Wood and Janette Manrara did a Tango to ‘Toxic’ by Britney Spears.

Each of the celebs and their pro partners with commented on and marked by the judges, but there was no elimination.

The marks will be carried forward to next weekend's second live show when one Celebrity will be kicked out of the show for real.

Strictly continues tomorrow night on BBC One.
