Young Apprentice 2012 group

BBC One has unveiled details of the 16 and 17-year-old candidates who will compete to win an investment from Lord Sugar in Young Apprentice 2012.

The twelve-strong line-up includes a former head girl, a farmer’s daughter, a female rugby-player, a fashion designer, a choral scholar and a ukulele player.

They will take part in various challenging tasks, including designing a new cookbook, sourcing props for the English National Opera and branding a hair-styling product while getting a taste of the high life, living together in a luxury Hampstead mansion.

As always, the winner will recieve a tailored £25,000 fund to kick-start their business career. However, it won't be an easy journey, with [tag]Lord Sugar[/tag] warning the group during the first episode: "I don’t like teacher’s pets and I don’t like school bullies. This is about the real world.

"I’m not making you sit exams; the only grade you’ll get here is ‘F’ for Fired."

Young Apprentice returns on Thursday 1st November at 8.00pm on BBC One. Below is our gallery of the contestants - click here to read the boys' profiles, and click here for the girls...
