Six former celebs return to the Strictly ballroom. They are Anita Rani, Aston Merrygold, Ann Widdecombe, Michael Vaughan, Jake Wood and Caroline Flack.

6:45PM: Michael McIntyre’s Big Show
Michael McIntyre’s annual festive special with hilarious stand up from Michael, live music from Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins, plus former footballer and TV presenter Chris Kamara – better known as Kammy – plays Send To All.

7:45PM: Call the Midwife Christmas special
As Poplar prepares for Christmas, the nuns travel to the Mother House to elect a new mother superior.

Paul O’Grady returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in an one-hour special of ‘For The Love of Dogs at Christmas’. Paul faces his biggest challenge yet as he tries to find homes for dozens of dogs who’ve all arrived together.

Starring Will Tudor (Game Of Thrones, Humans) and Poppy Lee Friar (Ackley Bridge, In The Club) as the iconic leads, ITV’s one-off feature-length film explores Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean’s early years and the creative impetus that finally drove them to become ice dancing royalty.

Alan Carr hosts an A-List Christmas extravaganza from his very own Alpine lodge. Joined by an amazing array of famous faces including Channing Tatum, Danny and Dani Dyer, Lily Allen, Sharon Horgan, Olly Murs, Russell Howard, Alesha Dixon, Emilia and Freddie Fox, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston, and Chris Kamara, this is set to be the biggest festive party of the year.
