Celebrity Big Brother 2018: India Willoughby complains men won’t flirt with her
India Willoughby is left unhappy (again) on Celebrity Big Brother 2018 tonight.
And it’s not just because she’s been nominated for eviction.
The newsreader complained that the men in the house would rather flirt with Shane Jenek – aka Courtney Act – rather than her.
“Why is it such a leap that I can only be a women up to a certain level?” India asked. “I don’t think people get me.”
She added: “A guy in this house would feel more comfortable flirting with Shane J [Courtney Act] and be less comfortable flirting with me not because I’m a woman because I’m a trans woman.”
Shane J replied: “But it’s also because of my demeanour not because I’m a gay guy.”
Shane Lynch also chipped in, saying: “It’d be lovely to see you not be angerfied by the fact someone said ‘Oh, I’m not a he’.”
India then continued: “This is part of the problem, I do feel like women like me have been sort of drowned out by the LGBT narrative.”
But Shane J insisted: “You’ve been uplifted. It’s enabled you to be here to have this voice. By lobbying with the L, G and the B we now have an environment that someone can be trans and be a newsreader.”
In a separate chat, Shane J comments: “While I’m not a women as Courtney, it’s always fascinating to see how straight men interact with me as Shane and as Courtney and how they do treat me quite differently.”
Elsewhere tonight, Ginuwine reveals his real name and continues to get closer to Ashley.
The housemates tease the pair, with Ashley joking that she isn’t Ginuwine’s wife…yet.
Meanwhile, Jonny can’t help but notice the connection between Courtney and Andrew whilst discussing their bond in the garden.
And Wayne reveals why he didn’t come out until later in life and comments on his friendship with rock star Freddie Mercury.
Celebrity Big Brother 2018 continues nightly on Channel 5.
