Fans of seaside crime-solving can look forward to a return to Shipton Abbott as Beyond Paradise gears up for its fourth series, landing on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Friday 27 March 2026.
The new trailer teases DI Humphrey Goodman, played by Kris Marshall, and the team facing a new set of baffling mysteries steeped in a curious mashup of village folklore and contemporary intrigue.

This series promises all-new cases, from the suspicious death of a novelist who eerily predicted their own demise to a treasure map’s sudden and suspicious reappearance.
Viewers can also look forward to episodes involving the Dark Morris – a night that spirals out of control – and even a seaside scare as a vengeful mermaid is reportedly spotted off the coast.
Humphrey and Martha (Sally Bretton) take on married life and the hunt for a new home, but things aren’t smooth sailing. Humphrey will face a dilemma described as an impossible decision, one with the potential to shake up Shipton Abbott police station forever.
The regular cast including Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, Barbara Flynn and Felicity Montagu are all set to return.
This season will also welcome a wave of guest stars, including Susan George, Phil Daniels, Colin McFarlane, Michael Cochrane and Melanie Walters.
