As well as the festive weeks’ exciting episodes, there is an exciting Christmas special set to be aired on Friday, December 23rd (tonight) at 9pm hosted by Will Best and former cast member Alex Carter which looks back at the best moments of the soap over the past year. So expect serial killers, slaps and plenty of drama! Below are the episode synopses for the week ahead:
Monday 26th December STAND ALONE EPISODE
At his lowest ebb, Doug can see no way out and decides to end it all. He stands on the edge of the bridge and prepares to jump… As he does so he is visited by a celestial being in the shape of Stephanie De la Dean! She offers him the opportunity to go back to Hollyoaks for the very first time and he jumps at the chance to start again. Returning to Hollyoaks, Doug is faced with a very different world and begins to appreciate the difference he has made to those around him. But is it too late for him to return to his old life?
Tuesday 27th December
Texas and Jodie deal with the fallout of the previous day’s events. Joel is left questioning if he has any place in Hollyoaks after what happened. Meanwhile, Mercedes finds herself questioning whether she can cope bringing Bobby up on her own.
Wednesday 28th December
The students prepare to journey up to Barney’s but as they start their adventures, Theresa and Will feel further apart than ever – could this be the end of the road for them? Mercedes is gutted when Riley snubs her but he pays the price when she takes her frustrations out on him and stops him seeing his son. Meanwhile Texas’ jealousy builds as she watches Dodger pursue Jodie.
Thursday 29th December
The students are in high spirits as they intend to make the most out of their impressive surroundings but an unexpected arrival threatens to spoil the party. Jacqui is outraged when she discovers that Mercedes tried to stop Riley seeing his son and encourages her to put the past behind her, but can she? Elsewhere, Jodie is amused by her many admirers and the band prepare for the opportunity of a lifetime…
Friday 30th December
Mercedes prepares to finally let go of Riley but as she realises just how much this will cost her she’s not sure if she can really go through with it. Barney finds himself torn between his friends and his parents but realises that it’s time to stand on his own two feet for once. Elsewhere, Jodie has her eye on someone unsuspecting at midnight…
