XFactor's Ella Henderson sings 'Believe' at National Television Awards (VIDEO)

X Factor’s Ella Henderson performed Cher’s Believe at the National Television Awards this evening.

The performance slot on the ITV awards show is usually reserved for the winner, with Joe McElderry, Matt Cardle and Little Mix having all performed in the last three years.

But James Arthur will was replaced on this year’s 18th annual awards ceremony by Ella, who didn’t even make the final.

The teenager was a shock exit in the show but has since been signed by Simon Cowell.

She tweeted yesterday: “Thank u everyone for the good luck messages for tomoro xx I’m so excited and honoured to be performing for the #NTAs !! Xx cannot wait! X”

Ella performed Cher’s Believe at the event, singing to thousands live at the O2 Arena the song that got her through to the live shows last autumn at bootcamp.

Cher (that’s the real Cher, not the X Factor contestant) previously revealed she watched Ella’s take on Believe and ended up crying herself!

The American singer tweeted: “work Done …Went on Utube 2 c young girl sing Believe!Tears came 2 my eyes! So Touching! a Great version of a Great Song.WE Can Share It !”
