However, the show must go on and whilst we can’t reveal who (if anyone) will be going to that big school in the sky, we can show you a picture of the new students who will be enrolling in [headteacher] Michael Byrne’s (Alec Newman) new joint venture with Lorraine Donegan (Daniela Denby-Ashe).
First up is intelligent Scot Imogen, played by Kirstie Steele. Imogen, a fading wall flower finds it hard to relate to her fellow pupils and is often the target of snide comments due to her gothic appearance. Rapper Paige Meade who previously appeared in Attack The Block is playing Jade Fleming who joins the show whilst on the run with her boyfriend.

L-R: Gus, Lula, Imogen, Rhiannon, Conor, Jade
Self-assured, ladies man Angus ‘Gus’ Hancock will be played by Borgia actor Benjamin Gur. The character will come to the school from a neighbouring college. Meanwhile, playing the messed-up son of English Teacher Christene Mulgrew (Laurie Brett) will be Shane O’Meara. The character who is called Conor is tipped to be a loose cannon who will do anything and with rumours that recently filmed scenes involved a boy chasing an ambulance with a knife, could the boy in question be Conor?
Elsewhere, newly moved Lula Tsubi is played by Marlene Madenge who moved to Congo when she was 11 and like her character, initially had trouble fitting in. Finally, super-bitch Rhiannon Salt, who moves to the college from the Rochdale site will be played by Rebecca Craven. The question is, with queen bee Madi Diamond (Georgia Henshaw) tipped to be moving to Scotland, is the school fit for both of them?
