Who is the shock return on 'Hollyoaks'? Oh, it's Josh Ashworth!

Hollyoaks fans who have been promised a shocking return later this month may be in for a bit of a surprise (pleasant or otherwise) as the identity of the returnee has been confirmed as Josh Ashworth! The teenagr, played by Sonny Flood was last seen in 2010 when he left Chester with parents Nev and Suzanne but he’s set to return later this month to help out a friend.

Josh will make a return to the soap when he is reunited with ex-girlfriend Amy Barnes (Ashley Slanina-Davies) and friend Michaela McQueen (Hollie Jay-Bowes) when the two go on a road trip to see Daytona Lights in concert. The week will also mark the brief return of band Daytona Lights who last appeared on the show earlier this year when they left for London.

With Amy’s relationship with Australian Ally Grogan (Dan O’Connor) on rocky ground, Josh has some advice for his ex on making the relationship work. However, will Amy heed Josh’s word or is her newest relationship doomed to fail? Josh ‘s original stint on the show lasted for 5 years between 2005 and 2010.
