Cast members including Tony Hirst who plays fireman Paul , Lesley’s husband and Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw have been spotted filming scenes at a crematorium in Manchester as the Weatherfield resident who was recently admitted into a care home passes away.
Viewers have recently seen Eileen growing closer to Paul who has been struggling to cope with his wife’s illness with a recent twist seeing Paul agree to admit Lesley into a nursing home for a trial period realising that he can’t keep up with her care on his own.
And in scenes which are soon to air, Paul will have to say a heartbreaking goodbye to his wife as she dies. The question remaining will be what happens between Eileen and Paul now that Lesley is gone.
