Returning The couple who were last seen leaving the street in January to go on a cruise which Ciaran had got a job on will soon return to the cobbles in Autumn with the exciting news that they are set to get married, a report in the Sunday Mirror has claimed.
A source for the soap told the paper: ”Michelle and Ciaran are two of our most popular characters. They will return from their cruise and tell the street they are planning a huge wedding. But this is Corrie and the course of true love never runs smooth, so anything could happen before they say ‘I do’.”
However, Michelle’s heart could be broken as Duffy recently confirmed that his current stint will be shorter than expected saying: ”This return to Corrie is not going to be as long as I would have hoped, because I’m kind of needed in Dublin this year.”
He added: ”[My son] Jay has a big exam year, and my little girl Mia, who has autism, it’s her last year in [primary] school and the transition to secondary school is going to be a lot of work for everybody. I’m kind of needed there to try and help make that happen.”
Reacting to the news, Kym said last month: ”I’m not sure what [Keith's decision] means for Michelle and Ciaran’s relationship because I haven’t seen any storylines, but if they do break up it will be interesting to see if he breaks her heart or she breaks his.”
