‘Hollyoaks’ caught filming special scenes in Ibiza for late-night spin-off ‘Hollyoaks Later’

Hollyoaks have been filming special scenes in Ibiza for the upcoming series of late night spin-off Hollyoaks Later. Cast members including Jennifer Metcalfe (Mercedes Mc Queen) and Nicole Barber-Lane (Myra Mc Queen) have been filming the scenes which will air on the E4 spin-off later this year.

During filming, Jennifer was spotted sporting a fake bump suggesting that her character Mercedes may become pregnant in a plot twist after her previous baby lie which has seen her pretending to be pregnant to cover up her affair with fiancee Riley Costello’s (Rob Norbury’s) father Carl (Paul Opacic).

Due to the current storyline, bosses at the C4 soap are keeping quiet about whether the baby bump is still part of Mecedes’ plan to keep her secret affair under wraps or whether she really is pregnant for real.

Speaking to showbiz and entertainment website Digital Spy, a source for Hollyoaks teased: ”There’s plenty of twists to come in this storyline and in a week of episodes airing at the end of the month, viewers will see Mercedes’s big dilemma over Riley and the ‘pregnancy’ come to a head.”

Viewers will see Hollyoaks Later‘s 4th series air later this year on E4 for a week of 9pm episodes.
