Despite the shock news, the Walford couple eventually decide to track down their grandchild and find out that she is now living in a care home, something that reminds them of their unfortunate upbringings as they both grew up together in a foster home.
Newbie Danielle Harold is set to play his relative, sharp and cocky but likeable Lola Pearce who quickly forms a close bond with her grandparents after having been deserted by everybody else in her life. However, after Billy and Julie decide to allow her to live with them, it remains to be seen if the other residents of Albert Square notably Billy’s adoptive son Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) will accept Lola.

Commenting on her new role, Harold said: ”I am so excited to be joining Eastenders. I have watched the show all my life and I never thought that one day I could be in Albert Square. It feels strange to be walking around Walford with people I have grown up watching – I still have to pinch myself.”
Eagle-eyed viewers may remember Danielle from her appearance on C4 reality series Jamie’s Dream School earlier this year. We think Danielle will be an excellent addition to the cast and can see a glimpse of former show favourite Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) in the new character. Lola will appear on screen in a few weeks.
