Ex-Waterloo Road actress Lucy Dixon is set to join the cast of C4 soap Hollyoaks as a regular cast member, it has been confirmed. The actress who played Danielle Harker in the BBC1 school based drama confirmed the news herself on Twitter.Speaking to her Twitter followers, Dixon wrote: ”Yes, you’ll be seeing me very soon in ‘oaks. Going to Abersoch to do a week’s filming to introduce my character. I think my 1st ep goes out on 21st June. Start filming next week.”
The new casting comes on the back of the recent announcement that Alex Carter (Lee Hunter), Ashley Margolis (Ricky Campbell) and Dean Aspen (Duncan Button) are all set to leave the soap later this year to pursue new projects.
