The Daily Star reports that the devoted Weatherfield mum makes the shock decision after she faces charges for murders that she did not commit. The drama comes about after Fiz helps her husband hide the body of victim Colin Fishwick after he has to be moved when the original place of burial, the Underworld Factory needs maintenance.
A whole sorry saga of events follows with John kidnapping a number of residents including Fiz’s brother Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) before jumping from a hospital roof and running away in hiding in a storyline expected to be similar to the real-life tale of John Darwin Aka Canoe Man who faked his own death.
After the terrible tale unfolds, Fiz ends up facing a charge of murder and has to stay in jail. Knowing what may happen, selfless Fiz rejects the possiblity of Hope being in jail with her in a mother and baby unit and instead asks friends Roy and Hayley to adopt her incase she is sentenced to the crime.
Pleading with Roy, Fiz desperately says: ”I just want Hope to have a good life and I can’t give her that anymore. I never want her to know who her real mum is and what I have done. I want her to grow up thinking she’s your daughter. I want you to promise me you’ll never tell her anything about me. ”
As can be expected, bosses at the ITV soap have refused to comment on the reports as they don’t comment on future storylines but have confirmed that the dramatic John Stape saga will run on for a long time after he departs our screens. Looks like we’ll all be sitting on the edge of our seats!
Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) will make a shock decision by handing over baby daughter Hope to Hayley and Roy Cropper after she faces unfair murder charges for crimes committed by her husband John (Graham Hawley), a newspaper has claimed.
