Cheryl Cole has reportedly blasted Simon Cowell, saying that he ‘pushed her’ into taking part in The X Factor USA. According to the News Of The World today, Cheryl feels betrayed by Simon Cowell after he told her he’d make her a star in the states.
Girls Aloud star Cheryl ranted to a friend: “After what happened in my marriage I made it quite clear I found it impossible to trust another man. But I DID trust Simon, I let myself believe he had my best interests at heart. Now he’s done this to me.
“I never actually wanted to do the American show, I’m not a TV star. I had so many reservations. But HE pushed me into doing it. He told me I’d be a star over there. And then he didn’t even give me a chance to prove myself. I was gone after four days.”
Cheryl added: “I’ve been used. Why put me through it? It’s cruel. I have no idea what I’m going to do now.”
Meanwhile a source revealed that Cheryl’s manager – Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am – was also angry with Simon Cowell. “Cheryl hasn’t seen anyone yet apart from [her mum] Joan and [her brother] Garry,” the source revealed. “She and Simon aren’t talking – Cheryl can’t face it. They spoke very early last week and that was it.”
The insider added: “[Will is] absolutely furious with Simon for what he’s done. He thinks the way she’s been treated is disgusting.”
The X Factor UK auditions start on Wednesday in Birmingham.
