Ahhh Nicole Scherzinger, perhaps the only guest judge on last year’s X Factor that really had any potential in the long run. Unfortunately the former Pussycat Doll has taken up a spot on the US version – but she says she still loves us Brits! Or perhaps she’s just feeling guilty for potentially leaving us with Tulisa Contostavlos as a judge…
Nicole is in the UK for Radio 1’s Big Weekend and reveals in tomorrow’s Buzz magazine how she feels right at home in Blighty. “I love the people here,” Nicola says. “There’s no pulling the wool over your eyes, you keep it real…It’s a bit like how Simon Cowell is – harsh but compassionate.”
Of course the adulation us Brits show on her boyfriend, Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, has probably made her a tad biased. “Whenever we’re out together all I hear is: ‘You’re my hero!’ laughs Nicole. “I’ve never heard the word ‘hero’ used so much. You guys love Lewis, which is sweet for me to see.”
Sexy Nicole also chats to the magazine about the odd fashion faux pas 0 and we reckon taking part in The X Factor alongside Cheryl Cole this year will see her style under more scrutiny than ever. “Even I get it wrong…” the singer tells Buzz. “I’ve appeared in my share of ‘What Not to Wear’ sections in magazines, and actually burnt some of my old clothes.
“Sometimes I’ll think an outfit is really groovy when it’s not. The next thing you know, there are pictures of it everywhere. I’ve just learned to laugh at myself now.”
