X Factor 2012: Shayne Ward blasts "pathetic" new promo for leaving him out!

It seems that The X Factor 2012 promo hasn’t won over everyone, with former winner Shayne Ward branding it “pathetic”.

The one minute features various stars of the show, including One Direction, Little Mix, Alexandra Burke, JLS, Olly Murs and Leona Lewis.

But only three of the acts actually won the show, with One Direction not even the runners up of their series.

The choice of stars has caused a bit of controversy, with Shayne writing on Twitter today: “Just seen the new Xfactor promo video.”

He added: “Yet again it’s like im being erased slowly from their history.Pathetic really Would love to know why? [sic]”

Shayne, who won the show in 2005, was dropped by Simon Cowell’s Syco label in 2011 after three albums.

But that’s not to say that Shayne hasn’t been a success, currently performing in West End musical Rock of Ages in London.

Fans of Joe McElderry have also hit out at the ad leaving the Geordie singer, who beat Olly in 2009, out of the promo clip.

The X Factor 2012 starts on ITV1 soon.

Absolutely pathetic. Shayne sold more over 1 million in 1 week with his first single Thats My Goal. His first album did very well and so did his second which I loved. Cowell then made him wait for 3 years to make another album because he will so involved and obsessed with Leona Lewis. Shayne did very well and in my opinion has one of the best voices of all of them.

Can anyone tell me how it is possible for a man like Shayne Ward to be set aside and not promoted the way he should have been? Nothing in the US about him. I am an old man but when I heard his voice I just could not believe it. The same with Matt Cardle or Will Young. Such tremendous voices, men who can actually sing. I am in the US and I listen to his songs daily. Somehow it seems to me that there should be somekind of justice sometime for him?

    It is so pathetic.
Steve Brookstein was the first winner and although he was dropped after one single, he still deserved the limelight.
Shayne Ward deserves the spotlight here more than Olly Murs and One Direction.
Joe McElderry had three albums and beat Olly Murs, Rebecca Furguson and Matt Cardle have also been inexplicably cut out even though they BOTH beat 1D.
    It’s all totally downhill.

    He was crap.
