X Factor 2012 bootcamp to be held outside of London due to Olympics

The X Factor 2012 bootcamp will be held outside of London for the first time, due to the Olympic games.

Bosses have reportedly found it impossible to find anywhere to stage the show in August as a result of the sporting event.

Who knew finding a hotel to house 200 people in the middle of the Olympics would need more than a few weeks notice?

The Daily Star suggest today that bootcamp will instead be held at either Manchester or Birmingham.

“The Olympics has posed a huge problem for us this year,” a source told the newspaper. “London has always been the choice venue for boot camp.

“But now we are having to re-think it, and fast.”

The source added: “It would be a nightmare to stage it during the Games so we’ll have to move.”

Around 200 wannabes remain in the competition after the final found of auditions in Cardiff last month.

They’ll be whittled down to just 32 at bootcamp, who will go on to the judges’ houses stage in September.

It might as well do the x factor in Manchester as bosses ditched Birmingham ealier this year of because of lack of talent

It seems that London, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow are their staple cities, they go there every year.. every other city they consider on a yearly basis. This year the two additions were Liverpool (1 day) and Newcastle (1 day), last year was Liverpool (1 day) and Birmingham (2 days), 2010 was (1 day) and Birmingham (2 days). They always have 11 days in total, London got an extra day of auditions this year (4 days).
