X Factor boss Simon Cowell has admitted he’s put pretty girls through on the show just because they’re “cute”.
The music mogul, currently a judge on the US version of the show, even confessed he loved to flirt with the contestants on the singing show!
“If you are single, you can flirt. We’ve definitely put girls through because they are cute, in the same way the girls put guys through – it’s just the way of the world,” Simon said this week.
He added: “I’ve been a naughty boy – that’s why I got into the music business. I’ve had my fair share, nothing too bad.”
Simon also said he was “flattered” by his support, having gone from an unknown label A&R executive here in the UK to a world wide TV star.
“I’m immensely flattered because it means people watch the shows. Without the shows being popular no one would know who I am!” he joked.
Meanwhile, Simon insisted that his risk in putting Britney Spears on the US version of The X Factor was already paying off.
He is quoted by The Sun as saying: “There’s a kind of a mystique about her. She’s not on the show to be ‘Britney Spears on a TV show’, she’s actually there to prove to the world there’s more to her.
“She wants to watch the stuff back to know what she’s done well and what she can improve on. She’s not just taking a cheque.”
